Internet marketers are well versed on how vital it is to take effective action.
Timing the execution well is the one thing that will set a successful marketer apart from those who aren't. It's more important to get the timing right for the plans you make than it is to devote a lot of time to making them. The thing is it's great to think about doing great things for your audience like writing eBooks; but, the more time spent thinking about them without actually getting them accomplished means that you are missing out on the money they could have made for you that much longer. It's true, time is money; this means that you need to get busy taking action and not just planning to reach your goals.
The very first thing you have to do is get rid of the feat that has been holding you back. Stop asking questions like "what if I fail?" and approach everything you attempt as an experiment. Instead, tell yourself "let's see what happens!" before you start on some task that you haven't taken up before. This will bring in curiosity and make you more excited about taking action, rather than taking you away from it. So, if you have a report or eBook you've been thinking about writing and giving to your list now is the time to stop putting it off and do it as an experiment to see how your audience responds.
One great way to "push" yourself into action is by making yourself accountable to others. By adding this one level of motivation you are pushing yourself even harder and farther with this method. It's much too easy to keep putting important actions off when you don't have anyone but yourself to hold you accountable. Be accountable to whomever works best for you; your spouse, your friend, or even a former colleague. Tell them what your goals are and what action you need to take to achieve your goals so they can hold you accountable for those actions.
Finally, remember to take time off. While most people associate not working hard enough with no profit syndrome, working too much can have a negative impact also. Take at least one day off a week to relax and let go. Doing this gives you a perfect opportunity to let work go, enjoy time with friends and family, and really get rid of the stress of your previous week. This may not seem to be that important but it will play a big role in your success in the long run.
As you can see, anyone who has the right frame of mind can take the action that is necessary to enjoy long-term benefits. All you need to succeed in Internet marketing today, despite failures in the past, is to take action. Don't wait until tomorrow, next week, or next month to get started because time waits for no man.
