Miele Vacuums Take A Serious Approach To Your Floors

By Thomas Bleier

You can expect to vacuum your house or apartment at least once every week. This is a job that never seems to go away, especially in a busy and crowded home. The number of times you plug in your appliance and go buzzing around increases if you own furry pets, birds, or have children. They tend to track in lots of dirt and dust, leave crumbs behind them, and shed plenty of hair (kids and pets alike). Miele vacuums are ready to tackle the hardest jobs you can throw at them.

On a regular-sized model, your bag will hold almost five liters of dirt and dust. Upright vacuums store even more before you need to change them. Select from a number of different suction capabilities depending on what sort of floor you are about to clean. Most models allow you to adjust this using a six-function dial.

Most Miele vacuums are capable of carefully cleaning both carpets and smooth floors, with the exception of a few that are meant for use only on specific types of flooring. The most expensive product offers the greatest flexibility in your cleaning potential. Get right into deep carpeting that effectively hides dust and dirt from the naked eye.

Less expensive Miele models offer many of the features seen on their advanced counterparts. For example, store all of your accessories on-board the vacuum. Items like a narrow nozzle and two other pieces are included when you purchase your product.

Switch to the upholstery attachment when you want to clean the sofa. This lifts stubborn hairs and other particles from fibers on furniture. Finally, you can dust with the dusting accessory. All of these pieces live on-board you vacuum so you do not have to search for them before starting to vacuum.

Your canister will weigh less than nine kilograms, or even less than six. This makes it ideal for lifting up stairs by either an ergonomic or standard handle. Carry it to the garage or carport and clean your car without straining your back. Compact canisters are fitted with narrower brushes than are found on larger models, but are ideal for keeping small homes clean or for storing in one part of the home that needs to be vacuumed frequently. Upright models are heavier, but they still weigh less than ten kilograms.

The addition of a filter inside your vacuum will help you look after family members with allergies. A filter traps more dust and mites from floors and furnishing than the vacuum could manage on its own. Some Miele varieties are fitted with HEPA filters which are especially good at taking particles out of the air after the appliance has stirred them up.

Miele vacuums come in an assortment of colors. Large canisters are available in grey, red, or white. Small versions come in two shades of blue. Medium-sized models add yellow to the list of shades available. If you prefer to work with an upright appliance, consider buying one painted metallic blue.
