Analysis of channel
Analysis of channel, starting on page 18 of July 1998 Technical Analysis of Stock and Commodities Magazine It's quite easy to create channels discussed in the Trend Channel Analysis Tom Hartle article in MetaStock for Windows. After opening a chart, you might want to zoom in slightly to make it easier to draw trend channels more accurately. You can do this by clicking the "+" button on the toolbar of the table at the bottom of the table. Next you may want to identify bars for support or resistance points by drawing circles on the bars as Mr. Hartle in the article, or you can use symbols from the symbol palette. Both can be selected from the Drawing toolbar, which is on the left side of the table. After identifying the points to draw the Trendline, click Trendline, also located on the Drawing toolbar and draw the Trendline between the closing prices of the two bars. If you are using MetaStock 6.5, you might want to right-click on the Trendline, select Properties, then check the box next snap Price. This will make Trendline line exactly with closing prices. To create the second Trendline Trend channel, right-click and select the first Trendline Create parallel line. Draw a parallel this line, so I settle with the highest high between the two support points or the lowest low resistance between two points. If you prefer, you can go to the properties of each of these trendlines and choose to expand the boundaries of law.
