In MetaStock for Windows 6.0 or higher, use an expert advisor to create an Olympics that will show when the contraction and expansion phases are present. First, choose Expert Advisor from the Tools menu in MetaStock. Create a new expert with the following moments:
Expert Name: New Market Paradigm
Headlines
Name: contraction
Condition: BBandTop (close, 28, simple, 2) <Ref (BBandTop (close, 28, simple, 2), -1) and
BBandBot (close, 28, simple, 2)> Ref (BBandBot (close, 28, simple, 2), -1)
Color: Blue

Name: Expansion
Condition: BBandTop (close, 28, simple, 2)> Ref (BBandTop (close, 28, simple, 2), -1) and
BBandBot (close, 28, simple, 2) <Ref (BBandBot (close, 28, simple, 2), -1)
Color: Red

Click OK to save changes to the expert. Open the map and then click your right-mouse button while pointing at the table title. Choose Expert Advisor and then select Attach the Table menu. Choose a New Paradigm market expert and then click OK. The price bars in the chart will be highlighted blue during the contraction phase and red in the expansion phase
