In August 1996 and supplies parts, an article by Thom Hartle titled "The Market Facilitation Index" showed how to color bars to identify chart patterns based on changes in market facilitation index and volume. Here's how to do it in MetaStock 6,0's new expert advisor.
The first step is to create a new expert by choosing Expert Advisor Tool menu MetaStock, and then select New from the Expert Advisor. Name of expert "Market Facilitation Index", enter any notes you like, then click on Highlights tab. Enter the following Determination by selecting New, color, and then enter the following formulas:
Green ribbon (green ribbon)
Taiwan ((HL) / V, 1, $)> 0 and Taiwan (V, 1, $)> 0
Fade Bar (blue bar)
Taiwan ((HL) / V, 1, $) <0 and Taiwan (V, 1, $) <0
Fake Bar (DK Gray Bar)
Taiwan ((HL) / V, 1, $)> 0 and Taiwan (V, 1, $) <0
Squat Bar (Red tape)
Taiwan ((HL) / V, 1, $) <0 and Taiwan (V, 1, $)> 0
Once you have entered into four highlights click OK to finish editing the properties of expertise. Now you can right-click on the heading or background of any chart. Next select Expert Advisor and then attach the shortcut menu template. Attach the market facilitation index expert, and will highlight four market facilitation patterns that were discussed in Hartle's article. Note: You can save a chart as a template with this expert attached, and then every time you apply the definition of the table on the market facilitation index expert will automatically attach to the table.
