Going To St. Thomas - Deciding Between Price And Travel Time

By Rafael Johnson

You may like to visit the Bahamas or St. Thomas during this year's spring break. Sea journey may look attractive. However, the trip takes a very long time and the other option is flying.

The journey takes only 4 hours or so that gives you more time for spending it on beach. This is the usual question all people going there think of.

Should the trip be cheap or fast? The destination will determine which will be ideal route for going there.

There are middle options between price and quick travel. It will depend on the destination you are planning to visit. For Florida residents and people living in Southeast part of USA, cruise package to St. Thomas will look attractive.

It is recognized that a cruise will take much longer than air travel from the USA. If you are not bothered about the cost you may fly. Money can be saved by planning the holiday well ahead and bookings done very much in advance. Several cruises depart from Florida for St. Thomas, daily.

You will like to be sure that you are getting the cruise you always wanted. Many cruise packages to St. Thomas give you only a day to spend there. After that they move you to other islands in the Caribbean. If you plan spending the vacation only at St. Thomas, you should choose a cruise correctly.

When it comes to the Bahamas, for residents of United States, taking a decision is more difficult. A cruise to the Bahamas takes about 7 hours from the port of departure to the port of arrival. The charges are comparatively cheap. However, there are airlines in which you can fly to Bahamas at cheap fares. This can be done from anywhere in USA. Booking many months in advance will help in the matter.

If you can strike a balance between pleasure and price the trip will be most enjoyable.
