Value pip

Value pip
Value of the pip in terms of dollar value. To determine what a pip is worth in dollars for a certain amount, 100,000 euros for example, you can use this formula:

(A pip in the proper decimal format, divided by the exchange rate) multiplied by the amount your trading, for example, a standard size lot $ 100,000.

Using EUR / USD as an example you would: (0.0001/1.3000) × 100.000 = 7,69 euros. But we want the pip value against the USD, so you get this, we multiply by 7,69 EUR / USD rate of 1.3000: EUR 7,69 × 1,3000 = $ 10th

Using the USD / JPY as the next example we have: (0.01/130.50) × 100.000 = $ 0,77 (77 cents) per pip. And because the USD is the base currency in this example, we should not be multiplied by the exchange rate as it did in the previous example.
