Twists emerged as a change in the basic fundamentals of currency pair. Identifying these changes is a challenge for trading currencies. Usually, as investors and traders caught wind of these fundamental changes taking volume as more and more investors are on board.
A turnaround may be different from the volume jump, an increase in trade volume in one period. Reversals usually come from a few to several days of higher than average volumes. In the short term the extra volume needed to jump can be taken by a news and its effects can wear off just as quickly. Trend reversals are based more on fundamental economic shifts and changes in the economies of both countries.
